Recently Rylan and I spent a Saturday and checked out much of the aviation between Phoenix and Tucson. The day was bookended with meet-ups with the Arizona Aviation Photographers (AzAP).
Coolidge Municipal Airport (P08): We started the day with AzAP at the monthly breakfast fly-in in Coolidge. This is always a fun gathering that offers many different civil and warbird aircraft, and this visit did not disappoint.

Eloy Municipal Airport (E60): This was our first visit here, and we didn't take any photos. Instead, we watched all the skydivers at Skydive Arizona. We really need to return to photograph the skydivers and some of their jump aircraft.
Pinal Airpark (MZJ, KMZJ): I have tried a few times to get in here to photograph some of the stored aircraft, but I am always turned away by the guard at the gate. This time there was no guard at the gate so we proceeded in, but we turned around when we came to the ABSOLUTELY NO PHOTOGRAPHY sign.
Marana Regional Airport (AVQ, KAVQ): There wasn't much going on here, but we still had a look around. They do have the Lockheed VC-121A Constellation "Columbine II" stored here. "Columbine II" was used by President-elect Dwight D. Eisenhower, and currently she is looking for a new home to restore and display her properly.
309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group (AMARG): While we didn't get into AMARG, we did go around some of the scrap yards adjacent to AMARG. Through the fence you can see some of the old, stored aircraft that are awaiting their fate.
Pima Air & Space Museum: We met up with AzAP again here for another night shoot at the museum. The AzAP night shoots are always a lot of fun, and I especially look forward to the ones held at Pima Air & Space Museum.
