Pima and & Space Museum, Tucson, Arizona The Arizona Aviation Photographers (AzAP) recently held their third night-photography workshop at the Pima Air & Space Museum in Tucson, Arizona.  As a Co-founder of AzAP I always try to make as many group outings as possible, but I have really come to love our night shoots at the Pima Air & Space Museum and I have been lucky enough to attend all three of them.

The photos above represent one photo from each workshop that I have attended.  In the past I mainly focused on one aircraft/subject, and while I had fun I just didn't feel like I was accomplishing what I wanted to get out of the event.  This past workshop I made sure that I moved around and photographed more aircraft, and I had a lot more fun.  By doing this, I also felt that I was able to experiment more and, as a photographer, learn more about taking these type of photos.  I have also seen the benefit of having an ultra wide angle lens/fisheye lens to use in this type of photo shoot.  I'm hoping to add one of those to my bag of tricks before our next workshop at the museum.  The photos below represent just two aircraft I photographed during AzAP's most recent workshop.

It's always great to get out with the guys and gals of AzAP, it's a great group of photographers and we always have a lot of fun.  Especially when it's a night at the museum.
